In 2005-2006, I wrote a couple of nonfiction biographies for the young adult market, including one about Margaret Cho and this one on artist and designer, Isamu Noguchi. I dove into existing biographic material on Cho and Noguchi to craft narratives targeted to readers, aged twelve to seventeen. In Noguchi’s case, I focused on the alienation he felt as a kid and teen and how creating art and design made him feel at home. You can still buy these books about Noguchi and Cho at Amazon.
